Spiritual Journaling Helps Answer the Call of Our Hearts

On the road to Emmaus the disciples didn’t recognize Jesus. Jesus spoke with them, asking them questions about everything that had happened to Him. Jesus then opened their eyes to the scriptures and later to His identity. After Jesus left their sight, the disciples reflected on their Emmaus experience saying, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"I wonder how often I am on the road to Emmaus, missing God when He is right…See More

Throw Away Old Junk With Spiritual Journaling!

Believe what is true regardless of what seems to be. Don’t let that old tape, with all those old lies, play over and over again in your head. Replace that thing! I know how fear, negative words, wounds, broken heartedness, sickness and disease can get that tape rolling inside me and you. That doesn’t mean we have to put up with that OLD JUNK!I’m gonna pull that Old Junk out of my head. I’m not going to give it a chance to play its old song of doubt, fear and sadness. Instead, I’m going to…See More

Spiritual Journaling: Journaling for Hope

I have hoped for so many things. I say to God, “But I Had Hoped….” If I could think clearly and have the old places healed, if my damaged parts could be glued back together, if my inclination was to love, if I needed no drugs for my body to work right, if my passion returned then…….???? I have hoped for so many things: for my thoughts to be His thoughts, for my passion to be His passion and that I would ache for good things. What I’d do have Him reach out and touch me. He could touch me and…See More

The Unlimited Realm and Your Spiritual Autobiography

The Unlimited Realm is a place that God is in the process of creating within our lives. I had to be taught about the Unlimited Realm because I didn’t believe in it. I had decided that life was only going to take me so far and that the rest of the good stuff was for Heaven. I had nothing left to give: no trick to try, no prayer to say, no book to read…

Spiritual Autobiography: Why Share Your Spiritual Journey?

Your spiritual autobiography is about the Unlimited Realm: a place many slowly fail to believe in. It's so human to decide that life is only going to take us so far and that the real good stuff is…Continue

What If We All Held Hands And Prayed Today?

I don’t feel so grandiose today. I’m tired, a little flat and I think I’m fighting a cold. There’s something else I’m fighting too: a spiritual battle. I have to fight to hold onto the vision of last…Continue

How is Prayer a Part of Your Story?

I think it’s important that we think about the place of prayer in our spiritual stories. It’s important because the way we pray becomes a part of our story. It also becomes a part of the story of the…Continue

Right now I'm too busy. I need to take a break. When I don't take one it's usually an attempt to maintain control. Somehow, whipping though a long list of things to do makes me feel like I'm in…Continue
